Down By The Sea

The pulsing soundof moving sea;
The ocean surf-tranquility!
An ocean breeze-With sunset's glaze;
Seaoats in view-and ocean waves!
An endless flow-of sand and shells;
Ebbed back and forth-by ocean swells!
The flight of gulls-along the shore;
A fleeing sand crab-in sand to bore!
The seashore is special-a great place to be;
God's love abounds-down by the sea!

I'm jealous, wished I lived by the sea. But then I remember hurricane season and then I'm not so jealous:). Thanks, nice poem

Either way I think that I will pass. I guess I will just have to do my ocean visiting during non-storm season. Actually I haven't seen the ocean in about 10 years. Then it was in Rhode Island where my mom is fun. Come to think of it they had a hurricane while I was there, maybe that's why I havent't been back since. :)

I really, really like the flatlands of my birth, but every time I get near the sea, when the salt works its way into my pores, I think, yeah, I 'm not leaving. Hurricanes suck, but every place has something Not Fun. Feather, who is usually the model of encouragement, has thrown me into a state of discontent and made me long for the sea... ;-)

Well then Dodo and Slacker, you should both go visit the beach... it's been long enough... most certainly!

Maybe you're right, Wise Feather-Named One. Maybe I will take off for a little beach time this summer. I've got distant kin living in East Texas, maybe I can swing an invite. Now to raise the funds for a vacation any further from here than Lake Clinton...

I would love to but not sure when said time and/or funds will be possible at the same time.

Dodo, when you see the open window, most certainly take it. Sometimes that requires earnestly looking for it, but opportunities arise to do such things often. I'm not entirely sure where you live, but if not the ocean then something else that God has created, go to a mountain overlook, or a state park.
