Library Observations

25 new graphic novels will hit our shelves shortly (juvenile literature only)

patrons have slowed down on the computers now that school is back in session including after school (one astute librarian commented that may be this is because those children who were here all summer don't want to be mistaken for studious--stinging tho it may be, I wonder if that's not true)

open-toed shoes and books do NOT mix

it is possible to keep the Life section of the newspaper! (or "Where has clepto been these days?")

when raining tiled floors are slick

eating lunch at the library means you have to stay in hiding or patrons will ask for help--irregardless of the time

periodical rooms were never really meant to be kept in order (perhaps a restatement of that would be "how not to throttle a coworker")

(thank you for the opportunity to share and for the chance to use "irregardless" in a post!)

Nice observations! Is it too much to ask what graphic novels you'll be getting? Eating lunch at work is very much like eating while working rather than taking a lunch BREAK! Flee from the patrons, for tho' you may love them, they will devour you...

I try to flee... but sometimes not making eye-contact and walking swiftly is not enough to deter some people.

Thought about listing the titles...
2 Power Puff Girls "Titans of Townsville" and "Go, Girls, Go!"

2 Bugs Bunny "What's up Doc?" and "You're Despicable!"

3 Zorro "Scars" "Drownings" and "Vultures"

2 Scooby-Doo "All wrapped up!" and "The Big Squeeze"

3 Hardy Boys (this is the one that suprised me the most) "Identity Theft" "Mad House" and "Malled"

1 Superman "Superman Adventures : The Never-Ending Battle"

4 Teen Titans "JPA : Jam Packed Action"(that one is a compliation also), "Jam Packed Action! : 'Crash' and 'Wavelength'" "Teen Titans Go! : Heroes on Patrol!" and "Teen Titans Go! Truth, Justice, Pizza!"

1 Compilation Cartoon Network "Cartoon Network Block Party! : Get Down!"

The rest are of a different format
1 Batman "Frostbite"

1 X-men "Meet the X-men" (this is more a description of all the characters)

2 Spiderman "Worst Enemies" and Everyday Hero"

1 JLA "New World Order"

And then these last three are the coolest, just because it's an overview sort of deal and really, they are on comic book paper pages... if you know what I mean

1 Superman 1401203396

1 Batman 1401204449

1 Superman/Batman 1401202209

They are all library binding, and because of the vendor I'm pretty sure originally all of them were pbk.

Helpful?

I know that the quickest way to get busy at work is for somebody to decide that they are hungry and want to eat something. This works about 95% of the time. Today it was my turn to *create* business. Everytime that I went to the back to get something else done here came the customers. Oh well I guess I did my bit even it I didn't get much accomplished.

Slacker, I was going to ask that, before I saw your comment. By the way, this post didn't show up for me until just now, a day later...

Winter, it's a delayed response, built into the system for people whose LiveJournal is more current than their Blogger account (hey, I don't write the code, I just report the conspiracies ;-)
