For most of my life the word "mine" was important, and what a fine and magical word it seemed to be.  Signifying something I could cherish and control.  But now I know that life is really a lending library, and everything I thought was mine is really on loan.  God's the librarian and keeps the due date a sercret.
This was on the wall at work, written by someone who came to the library often,  I imagine... thoughts to ponder.

If the due date's a secret, life is more like a video store than a library ;-) Good metaphor, though, but I *could* be a wee bit biased...
