First, I took these pictures in June for my sister.
Her friend was going to have a concert at their university and had to make his own posters to advertise for it.
So sister called and said "please come take pictures". Which she had to do several times... and finally I made it... spent about 3 hours setting up, and working with the people that were involved.
Well, after I took the pictures I realized that it would be perfect for my secret sister, but I had to not use it in any public format for awhile because this year I knew my secret sister pretty well and she had access to all my online stuff (photo album, blog etc.)... so patiently I waited.
Last night we had our party(revealing who our secret sister was for the year), and I gave her a framed 8x10 version of the one in color.
Personally I like the black and white because the roses look like the negative and the piano the positive(photo).
I will probably use these pictures when Susan and I display digital photography here at the library.

So, is there some story here, some context that will connect the dots of these two pictures?!? Inquiring minds, and all that...
Slacker, not really, but I can explain it.

Cool. Good choice of pictures to display (and I agree with the black and white judgment, although red roses always evoke sentiment...)
Thanks :)
