Just a thought on my mind--its common sense really--I guess it just became very real to me Sunday.
Chaplain McCarty was preaching on Luke 9, where the woman with the issue of blood touches Jesus and is healed. She sought Him with determination knowing that if she but touched the hem of His garment, she would be healed.
I noticed for the first time how when she touched Him, Jesus said that he felt virtue flow out of Him. What would happen if we would but seek Him with determination, knowing already that by faith when we would touch Him we will be spiritually healed. I wonder if He still says that He feels virtue leaving His body.
How awesome is it Christ flows through us?!
(this is a modified version of an email I got yesterday from a friend)

reminds me of the old celtic prayer that talks about Christ in me and around me and through me and in everyone I meet (what if we saw Christ in everyone we met? It would change my attitude) There is a whole lot more to the prayer. I will have to look it up and send you-it is very cool.
By the way, who is up at 5:59 am??
Not me!!! That's some sort of typo and I don't know how to fix it... hey it keeps you guessing tho...
Miss you my friend!
And definitely send the prayer
;-) Or post it yourself, that'd be cool!
Feather, there's a time zone setting accessible via the dashboard -> Settings -> Formatting. The Celtic prayer is the Breastplate of Saint Patrick, which totally rocks (if your friend could post it, that would be very nice!)
Christ flowing through us is a cool thought, especially for those of us who tend to stress God's transcendence over His immanence. Thanks for the blessing!
Alright lets try this one more time:
I will pass the thanks along to my friend :)
I've tried changing the settings before, but I always get it wrong!
ps I don't think she realizes she can sign in and post so's there's a link attached to her name...
I keep trying. I am a computer idiot.
Hey, I just did it...Now to find the prayer...
ok, here goes. I'm including the whole thing because I like it. There is no actual "through me", but I think you get the picture.
I bind unto myself today
the strong Name of the Trinity,
by invocation of the same,
the Three in One, and One in Three.
I bind this day to me forever,
by power of faith, Christ’s Incarnation;
his baptism in the Jordan river;
his death on cross for my salvation;
his bursting from the spiced tomb;
his riding up he heavenly way;
his coming at the day of doom:
I bind unto myself today.
I bind unto myself the power
of the great love of cherubim;
the sweet “Well done” in judgement hour;
the service of the seraphim;
confessors’ faith, apostles’ word,
the patriarchs’ prayers, the prophets’ scrolls;
all good deeds done unto the Lord,
and purity of virgin souls.
I bind unto myself today
the virtues of the starlit heaven,
the glorious sun’s life-giving ray,
the whiteness of the moon at even,
the flashing of the lightning free,
the whirling wind’s tempestuous shocks,
the stable earth, the deep salt sea,
around the old eternal rocks.
I bind unto myself today
the power of God to hold and lead,
his eye to watch, his might to stay,
his ear to hearken to my need;
the wisdom of my God to teach,
his hand to guide, his shield to ward;
the word of God to give me speech,
his heavenly host to be my guard.
Against the demon snares of sin,
the vice that gives temptation force,
the natural lusts that war within,
the hostile men that mar my course;
of few or many, far or nigh,
in every place, and in all hours
against their fierce hostility,
I bind to me these holy powers.
Against all Satan’s spells and wiles,
against false words of heresy,
against the knowledge that defiles
against the heart’s idolatry,
against the wizard’s evil craft,
against the death-wound and the burning
the choking wave and poisoned shaft,
protect me, Christ, till thy returning.
Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.
I bind unto myself the Name,
the strong Name of the Trinity,
by invocation of the same,
the Three in One, and One in Three.
Of whom all nature hath creation,
eternal Father, Spirit, Word:
praise to the Lord of my salvation,
salvation is of Christ the Lord.
Um, I am up at 5:59 am but not my choice, somebody has to get up amd make breakfast for all those pesky customers!
Cool prayer, thanks for sharing!
Oh, I had forgot it contained an invocation against wizards. Still, though, a good prayer.
